About the position

Genesis10 is seeking an Application Programmer for a contract position in the financial industry, focusing on Climate Risk Database integration. The role involves liaising between product owners and development teams, capturing requirements, and conducting data analysis using SQL. The position requires collaboration with various teams to support application development and manage UAT testing cycles.

Responsibilities

• Determine integration requirements for Climate Risk Database
• Serve as a liaison between product owners and development teams
• Capture detailed requirements and create high-level design documentation
• Coordinate collaboration between teams to support application development
• Conduct data analysis and visualization using SQL
• Evaluate and recommend enhancement opportunities
• Develop creative solutions with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with business partners to document requirements
• Work with UI/UX designers to develop screen mockups
• Map data from source to target tables
• Interface with development teams to ensure requirements are understood
• Review QA scripts as needed
• Manage UAT testing cycle
• Act as the central point for requirements and delivery between teams

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis and/or Requirements documentation
• 3+ years of experience working with clients or stakeholder groups
• 2+ years in an environment with heavy data analysis
• Basic SQL skills; able to create and run SQL scripts
• Exposure to Risk and Compliance domains
• 1 year of experience in an Agile development environment
• Participation in User Acceptance Testing for at least two projects
• Experience working directly with developers to communicate business requirements
• Ability to explain analysis logic clearly
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite
• Experience with writing documentation in Confluence Wiki
• Experience with JIRA workflow management
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
