About the position

The Analyst V SC Advanced Analytics position at Ahold Delhaize USA involves utilizing advanced statistical tools and technology to analyze large datasets related to the supply chain of various grocery brands. The role focuses on developing predictive models and algorithms to enhance supply chain operations, collaborating with supply chain engineers and product managers to transform descriptive insights into actionable predictive and prescriptive analytics. The successful candidate will thrive in a data-driven environment, leveraging their quantitative skills to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Develop statistical models to predict supply chain operational needs and automate decision-making processes.
  • Use advanced analytics to highlight operational trends and external variables impacting supply chain performance, offering proactive recommendations.
  • Collaborate with IT to structure supply chain data for a comprehensive view of operations.
  • Work with product managers and supply chain engineers to scale and deploy supply chain products.
  • Serve as an expert on advanced analytics tools and technologies.
  • Design tests for quantifying supply chain pilot results using A/B testing and statistical methods.
  • Mentor Supply Chain Data Science COOPs by providing project oversight and guidance.
  • Train user groups and analysts to utilize best-in-class tools and models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, supply chain management or related fields required.
  • 7+ years of applicable experience with emphasis on supply chain analytics, agile software development, optimization, or predictive modeling.
  • 5+ years of advanced statistical analysis experience with emphasis on machine learning.
  • Extensive hands-on experience using statistical programming software and languages such as SAS, SQL, R, Scala, and Python.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure stack, Hadoop, Hive clusters, Apache Spark, Databricks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Front end software development skills a plus.
  • Significant experience in algorithm developments, focusing on supply chain-related topics preferred.
  • Simulation development experience, focusing on supply chain areas - digital twin development experience preferred.
  • Master's Degree or PhD in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields preferred.
