The Analyst - Wireline Transformation and Supply Chain Strategy position at AT&T is designed for individuals who are responsible for analyzing and supporting the evaluation of complex internal business problems and developing effective solutions. This role involves collecting and translating financial or operational data from various sources into a standardized format to identify trends and improve cost efficiency. The analyst will apply quantitative finance and accounting principles to create clean sheet models that accurately reflect vendor pricing for services and products rendered to AT&T. In this position, the analyst will construct and apply statistical and financial models to identify opportunities for cost savings. They will design and create reports, summaries, reporting tools, and database requirements to enhance operational effectiveness and decision-making processes. The role also requires analyzing production, implementation, and manufacturing expenses to determine the most cost-effective solutions, identifying root cause cost drivers, and developing sourcing recommendations to achieve savings. The analyst will research industry benchmarks and key data resources to support their analysis, applying lean and six sigma methodologies within should-cost models. They will also utilize design-to-value methodologies to understand the true clean sheet costs of services. Ensuring the accuracy of analysis is critical, as the analyst will analyze internal or supplier information and data models. Advanced statistical calculations, including expected value calculations, regression analysis, variance, and standard deviation calculations, will be performed to support program management efforts across multiple projects and functions. This role requires seasoned analytical skills and a high level of proficiency in handling complex, cross-functional assignments.
