About the position
The Analytical Chemist position at RGBSI involves conducting laboratory analyses and maintaining analytical equipment to support various projects. The role requires a strong background in chemistry and laboratory practices, with a focus on wet chemistry techniques and the operation of analytical instruments. The chemist will also be responsible for preparing reports and ensuring compliance with corporate standards.
Responsibilities
- Operation and routine maintenance of analytical equipment
- Upkeep of analytical methods/procedures
- Work efficiently and effectively on major project Henkel teams
- Preparation of quality customer reports and project portfolio management
- Customer interfacing including communication, correspondence, and presentations
- Compliance and understanding of corporate standards such as safety, housekeeping, and quality
- Upkeep of digital programs including Microsoft Office, LIMS, and statistical analysis
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry
- Prior laboratory experience preferred
- Experience in an analytical laboratory highly desirable
- Good wet chemistry skills including titration, filtration, dilution, extraction, and gravimetric determinations
- Knowledge and experience with GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM/EDS, and FTIR is desirable
- Prior use of pH and specific ion electrode meters
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong chemical math skills
- Strong PC skills
- Solid interpersonal skills
