About the position
The Analytical Chemist position involves conducting laboratory analyses and maintaining analytical equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results. The role requires a strong background in chemistry and laboratory practices, with a focus on wet chemistry techniques and the operation of various analytical instruments.
Responsibilities
- Operation and routine maintenance of analytical equipment.
- Upkeep of analytical methods and procedures.
- Upkeep of digital programs including Microsoft, LIMS, and statistical analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in chemistry.
- Prior laboratory experience is preferred.
- Previous experience in an analytical laboratory is highly desirable.
- Good wet chemistry skills including titration, filtration, dilution, extraction, and gravimetric determinations.
- Knowledge and experience with GC-FID, ICP, IC, SEM/EDS, and FTIR are desirable.
- Prior use of pH and specific ion electrode meters.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong chemical math skills.
- Strong PC skills.
- Solid interpersonal skills.
