About the position

The Analytical Scientist II role is focused on performing analytical method development for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical products within a cGMP-regulated environment. This position requires extensive experience in method development, particularly with complex nutraceutical matrices, and involves utilizing various analytical techniques and instrumentation to ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform analytical method development for nutraceutical and pharmaceutical products.
• Support product release as part of method development responsibilities.
• Characterize and elucidate botanical compound structures using spectroscopic methods and mass spectrometry.
• Troubleshoot issues related to HPLC and GC instrumentation.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, FDA, and ICH guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in analytical chemistry, chemical engineering, biochemistry, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in analytical method development in a cGMP-regulated environment.
• Intermediate experience in method development of complex nutraceutical matrices/finished products.
• Strong knowledge of instrumentation such as FTIR, HPLC, ICP, QG, UV-Vis, LC-MS, GC-MS, ICP-MS, HPTLC.
• Proficient in Empower chromatography acquisition database software.
• Strong analytical skills in laboratory techniques including titration, gravimetric methods, and separation techniques.
