Analytics Analyst 1 or 2

About the position

We are hiring one position at a level 1 or 2 depending on their experience - job descriptions for each are below. The Analytics Analyst role is designed to enhance lives, fulfill dreams, and build communities by supporting the organization's data-driven decision-making. This position involves collecting, integrating, validating, and analyzing data from diverse sources, working closely with other analysts and business units to surface insights that align with strategic priorities. The role offers foundational exposure to analytics tools, processes, and methodologies with room for development into more complex analytics and business impact. This position supports initiatives across Marketing, Product, Risk, Lending, Operations, and other domains.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, development, and delivery of dashboards, reports, and ad hoc analyses that support key business initiatives.
• Assist Senior Analytics Analysts in mining and preparing data for use in business analyses, including data reconciliation and transformation.
• Collaborate with business partners across the organization to understand and document requirements and develop scalable, repeatable analytics solutions.
• Perform descriptive and diagnostic analytics to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities in the data.
• Read, develop and run basic SQL queries; use data visualization tools (such as Tableau) to communicate findings.
• Follow established analytics development standards, documentation protocols, and version control practices to ensure consistency, accuracy, and team alignment.
• Assist in correlating quantitative and qualitative inputs from multiple sources to support business decisions.
• Support A/B testing, campaign performance tracking, and web/email analytics initiatives.
• Participate in quality assurance and validation of data, analytics outputs, and visualizations.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics documentation, standards, and best practices.
• Maintain knowledge and adhere to all BSA regulations and compliance standards on internal and external policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in analytics, reporting, or a related field (internship experience counts).
• Foundational experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
• Experience with Tableau or similar BI/visualization platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentations.
• Exposure to statistical methods or tools (e.g., regression, clustering, NLP) is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in financial services, credit unions, or regulated industries.
• Experience building moderately to complex data analysis and visualizations in Tableau.
• Experience with Statistical methods or tools (e.g., regression, clustering, NLP).
• Experience with Python or R for statistical analysis.
• Experience working with digital analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
• Exposure to data governance or enterprise data management.
• Advanced degree (MBA, MS Analytics, etc.).
