About the position

As an Analytics and Power BI Engineer at General Dynamics, you will be part of the Operational Excellence team, focusing on driving measurable improvements within the Engineering organization. Your primary responsibility will be to understand customer needs and implement data-driven solutions using various analytics tools, including Power BI, to enhance organizational insights and process trends.

Responsibilities

• Create and test data models to ensure data accuracy in dashboard reporting.
• Leverage internal business systems and associated data to support business needs.
• Maintain the current suite of Engineering dashboards.
• Investigate and resolve data delivery issues for Power BI dashboards.
• Support data security and governance policies (CUI).
• Lead cross-functional teams to implement automation and improvement initiatives.
• Conduct requirements analysis with stakeholders on dashboard visualizations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in data Analytics or other Engineering degree with relevant experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in business intelligence analytics.
• Proficiency in Power BI, data modeling, DAX Query, and data cleaning.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and self-start.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data governance policies.
• Familiarity with military vehicle engineering processes.
