About the position

Rev.io is seeking a talented and experienced Microsoft Fabric or Azure BI Developer to design, develop, and maintain Fabric-based Business Intelligence solutions. This role is crucial for defining the architecture, ensuring quality, and delivering scalable solutions that provide actionable insights. The developer will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytics needs and deliver efficient solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of Microsoft BI solutions with technologies such as Data Lake, Data Factory, Data Warehouse, and Power BI.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and create semantic data models.
  • Design and implement ETL processes and data pipelines.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Train and mentor junior team members.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver customized BI dashboards and reports.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and performance-tuning activities.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Microsoft Fabric features and best practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing data warehouse solutions using Fabric and/or Azure technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Data Warehouse, SQL Database, Data Factory, and Data Lake Storage.
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL and experience in designing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Experience with data modeling, database design, and data integration techniques.
  • Proven ability to create semantic models leveraging medallion architecture to enhance data organization and accessibility.
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and tools such as SSIS or Data Factory.
  • Solid understanding of data governance, data security, and data privacy best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data sets and identify patterns and trends.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Microsoft Fabric certifications in data engineering or related areas (e.g., Data Engineer Associate).
