UCLA Health IT is seeking an exceptional Analytics DevOps and Platform Engineer to join the Solutions Architecture and Engineering (SAE) group. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our cloud and on-premises infrastructure keeps pace with our rapidly growing customer base, focusing on service reliability, performance, efficiency, and security. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in cloud computing, Windows and Linux administration, Citrix virtualization, DevOps principles, and automation. We are looking for a creative technical expert who can support the transformation of various services from on-premises solutions to Cloud Technologies. As part of the team, the Analytics DevOps and Platform Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and operating the infrastructure and applications focused on Analytics Platform technologies, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) both on-premises and in the Cloud. This role requires a strong technical background that combines development engineering and IT skillsets. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving environment issues, as well as developing monitoring solutions and tools to automate daily operational activities. The engineer will collaborate closely with clients and OHIA team members to understand stakeholder requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions in our Cloud (Azure) environment. Key responsibilities include the design and implementation of infrastructure and applications' build, release, deployment, and configuration activities; pipeline automation, optimization, and management. The role also involves architecting, orchestrating, and automating the Citrix Infrastructure and service deployment, working both independently and collaboratively with the team and internal OHIA groups to gather requirements, prototype, architect, implement/update solutions, build and execute test plans, perform quality reviews, manage operations, and triage and fix operational issues. This flexible hybrid role allows for a blend of remote and on-site work, requiring presence on-site at least 5% (3 days) - 10% (6 days) per Quarter or as needed based on operational requirements. Please note that travel to the 'home office' location is not reimbursed. Each employee will complete a FlexWork Agreement with their manager to outline expectations and ensure mutual understanding, with arrangements periodically reviewed and potentially adjusted or terminated as necessary.
