About the position

The Analytics Developer III - Digital and Marketing Analytics at Baylor Scott & White Health is responsible for providing advanced analytics products and reporting services to stakeholders in the Digital Marketing teams. This role involves collaborating with various teams to identify and create key performance metrics, utilizing customer data to enhance digital assets and marketing initiatives. The position requires expertise in data analysis, dashboard creation, and effective communication of insights to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document data requirements from customers.
  • Examine and translate requirements into technical specifications, processes, and workflows.
  • Design and develop solutions using various toolsets based on business requirements and source systems.
  • Extract and load data into databases as required.
  • Produce and develop complex reports, dashboards, and interactive reporting from various data sources.
  • Validate output and metrics to ensure data quality, reliability, and integrity.
  • Document project assignments and technical documentation for continuity of process.
  • Interpret complex data and deliverables in plain business language for executive and clinical staff.
  • Develop statistical, economic, and financial research from data to evaluate performance and drive business initiatives.
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, Clinical or similar degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Advanced data manipulation, troubleshooting, and critical skills.
  • Advanced development skills in enterprise statistical and BI tools such as Cognos, Tableau, QlikView, Excel PowerPivot, or SSRS.
  • Advanced skill in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R, or STATA.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement systems for data collection and examination.
  • Ability to gather and examine statistical data and develop reports.
  • Ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of ETL & Data Warehousing.
  • Ability to work with complex data of varying quality and validity.
  • Ability to develop data analytics and BI applications that meet user requirements.
  • Ability to learn new processes and identify opportunities for efficiency.
