About the position

The Analytics Developer III position at Baylor Scott & White Health focuses on enhancing digital and marketing analytics through the development of advanced analytics products and dashboards. This role involves collaborating with various teams to identify key performance metrics, utilizing customer data to provide actionable insights, and ensuring data quality and integrity in reporting. The position requires a blend of technical skills and the ability to communicate complex data findings in a clear manner to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and document data requirements from customers, translating them into technical specifications and workflows.
  • Design and develop solutions based on business requirements and source systems using various analytic tools.
  • Extract and load data into databases as required using appropriate tools.
  • Produce and develop complex reports, dashboards, and interactive reporting from various data sources.
  • Validate output and metrics to ensure data quality, reliability, and integrity.
  • Document project assignments and technical documentation for continuity of process.
  • Interpret complex data and deliverables in plain business language for executive and clinical staff.
  • Conduct statistical, economic, and financial research to evaluate performance and drive business initiatives.
  • Provide training and mentoring to junior colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Physics, Computer Science, Economics, Business, Clinical or similar degree or equivalent experience required.
  • 5 years of experience in a related field.
  • Advanced data manipulation, troubleshooting, and critical skills.
  • Advanced development skills in enterprise statistical and BI tools such as Cognos, Tableau, QlikView, Excel PowerPivot, or SSRS.
  • Advanced skills in programming languages such as SAS, SQL, R, or STATA.
  • Verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement systems for data collection and examination.
  • Knowledge of ETL & Data Warehousing.
