About the position

The Analytics Engineer will play a crucial role in the Analytics Enablement Team on a 12-month contract-to-hire basis. This position focuses on collaborating with analysts, data scientists, and studio partners to build and maintain data systems that enhance data analysis across the organization. The role emphasizes the development of robust and scalable data infrastructure to support business needs, with the potential for a full-time position based on performance after the contract period.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to implement analytics solutions that support the goals of game designers and engineers.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining data warehouses to provide a centralized and organized repository for analytics teams.
  • Work with data engineering and data analytics teams to build and implement project plans, enhancing reporting capabilities.
  • Support the design and development of data solutions that ensure data integrity throughout pipelines.
  • Assist in building, maintaining, and optimizing ETL workflows for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Contribute to establishing and enforcing data quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of analytics outputs.
  • Communicate technical findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner.

Requirements

  • A BA/BS degree in a technical field, preferably in Data Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related areas.
  • 2-3 years of relevant professional experience in data modeling, warehousing, and ETL pipeline development.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python for querying and handling complex datasets.
  • Experience with Airflow or other workflow management platforms is a plus.
  • Basic familiarity with creating data visualizations using platforms like Tableau, Looker, or similar tools.
  • Strong ability to work with business partners, understanding their needs and translating them into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills.
