About the position

The Analytics Engineer II position at HCA Healthcare's ITG - San Antonio Division is focused on designing, developing, testing, and deploying business intelligence solutions to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to create dashboards and data models, ensuring effective reporting and data analysis to support local projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy business intelligence solutions across the enterprise.
• Create dashboards and data models within the ITG division.
• Support division and facility reporting needs, ad hoc reporting, report configuration, and report distribution.
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Data Scientists, and Project Managers to provide leadership regarding reporting and BI.
• Ensure effective design, build, deployment, documentation, and maintenance of reports against relational and multidimensional databases.

Requirements

• Expertise in data acquisition, data cleansing, and parsing.
• Experience in data analysis, modeling, and visualization.
• Proficiency with a business intelligence platform (e.g., PowerBI, Qlik, MicroStrategy).
• SQL experience required; Teradata preferred, with alternatives like MSSQL, Oracle, or Postgres.
• Experience with a formal development language (e.g., Python, R, JavaScript, Ruby, Scala, or Clojure).
• Expertise in data structures and data warehousing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience using a distributed version control system (e.g., GitHub, TFS).
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• ETL experience.
