About the position

As an Analytics Engineering intern, you will build systems that model data effectively, consolidating multiple data sources to enable stakeholders to answer questions continuously. You will work within a small, multi-functional team, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and data scientists. This role emphasizes problem-solving and innovation, allowing you to design and develop solutions that enhance customer understanding and improve the shopping experience.

Responsibilities

• Build systems that model data in a clean and clear way.
• Consolidate multiple data sources for internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with a multi-functional team including engineers, product managers, and data scientists.
• Design and develop solutions to challenging problems with mentorship from experienced team members.
• Create tools that help brands understand their customers better.

Requirements

• Solid foundation of SQL skills and understanding of relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with Python programming.
• Ability to stitch together several data sources and build systems for consolidated insights.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a knack for creative solutions.
• Effective communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
• Desire to grow skills through collaboration and feedback.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Data Build Tool (DBT), Airflow, AWS infrastructure, Terraform.
• Exposure to data modeling, data governance, and data quality tools.
• Familiarity with data warehouses (e.g., AWS, Azure, Snowflake) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Grafana).
