About the position

The Senior Analytics Engineer at Netflix will serve as a strategic partner for the Studio & Creative Production teams, leveraging data to influence decision-making in the creation of promotional content such as artwork and trailers. This role involves identifying analytical problems, developing innovative solutions, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance data-driven strategies within the creative process.

Responsibilities

• Identify critical analytical problems and apply innovative solutions with data.
• Develop solutions ranging from scrappy code and prototype tools to high-visibility dashboards and analyses for leadership.
• Spearhead the creation of new metrics that impact decision-making.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Data Engineers to source data from new systems and strengthen foundational data models.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in data wrangling, analysis, reporting, and visualization.
• Expertise in a data-oriented programming language (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Scala).
• Proficiency in intuitive dashboard/visualization design (e.g., Tableau).
• Strong understanding of ETL and data warehousing best practices.
• Core statistics knowledge, including hypothesis testing.
