About the position

The Analytics Engineer at David Yurman will be a key member of the Data and Analytics team, responsible for designing and implementing advanced data management and analytics solutions. This role focuses on performing data analysis, feature engineering, and developing statistical models to support the company's strategic business goals and drive growth.

Responsibilities

  • Query and acquire the data required to perform business analysis to identify trends in large data sets that answer business critical questions.
  • Drive data driven decision making by interpreting the data and providing adequate business insights.
  • Develop data mining processes, and statistical models to support data analytics provided.
  • Research existing and emerging data science principles, theories, and techniques to best inform business decisions.
  • Develop and implement models such as Price Elasticity, Demand Forecasts and more.
  • Leverage machine learning and other statistical techniques to identify business performance improvement opportunities to drive favorable outcome.
  • Develop appropriate test scripts and test the models and analytics.
  • Keep track of the technology advancements in the areas of ML & AI.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of prior data science experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience with quantitative analysis, experimentation, regression, data mining.
  • 3-5 years' experience working with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using analytical and statistical approaches.
  • Prior experience with Python or R a must.
  • Proficiency with git, DBT, airflow, Snowflake a huge plus.
  • Experience with retail data analysis a plus.
  • Experience with reporting / visualization tools Tableau, Sigma etc.
  • Self-starter and positive performer who can flex when priorities change, collaborate with cross functional partners, contribute to the team's overall success.
  • Strategic thinking, excellent writing, and professional editing skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in data science / computer science or another engineering related field.
  • Python/ R, Snowflake certifications desirable.
