About the position

The Azure Analytics Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining cloud-based analytics solutions using Microsoft Azure services. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop scalable and cost-effective analytics solutions that meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement analytics solutions using Azure services such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Machine Learning.
  • Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into data lakes and data warehouses.
  • Build and integrate machine learning models and data pipelines into end-to-end analytics solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Implement data governance, data quality, and data security best practices for analytics solutions.
  • Optimize analytics solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness, leveraging Azure's cloud-native capabilities.
  • Automate and orchestrate analytics workflows using Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure services.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot analytics pipelines and solutions, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Azure analytics services and technologies, and continuously improve and refine analytics solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in developing analytics solutions, with experience using Microsoft Azure services.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and other data programming languages.
  • Solid understanding of data warehousing, data integration, and data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with big data technologies such as Apache Spark and distributed computing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing principles, including scalability, availability, and cost optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • US Citizenship is required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate, Azure Data Scientist Associate).
  • Experience with data governance, data quality, and data security best practices.
  • Knowledge of DevOps principles and tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git).
  • Familiarity with corporate ERP systems, i.e. Oracle and SAP.
  • Experience in mentoring and guiding junior team members.
