About the position

The Analytics Engineer will play a crucial role in enhancing data-driven decision-making by building and maintaining data models, developing scalable data pipelines, and ensuring the accuracy of data visualizations in Power BI and Qlik. This position focuses on transforming complex datasets into actionable insights to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data models that transform raw data into clean, tested, and reusable datasets for Power BI dashboards.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Qlik and Power BI dashboards ensuring they are powered by accurate and timely data.
  • Design, develop, and maintain data transformation pipelines on GCP, handling complex business rules and high-volume data from various sources.
  • Build and maintain batch and real-time data pipelines using GCP services like Big Query, Dataflow, Cloud Functions, and Pub/Sub.
  • Develop and optimize ETL processes to ingest, transform, and load data from multiple sources into the data warehouse.
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to translate business requirements into actionable data models and pipelines.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all data pipelines, ETL processes, and data models.
  • Implement and maintain data quality checks and monitoring systems to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and reliability.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in data engineering, particularly within the GCP ecosystem.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, with a proven track record of building data models, data transformation, and maintaining data pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualization tools, specifically Qlik and Power BI.
  • Extensive experience with GCP services, including BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub, and Data Fusion.
  • Strong experience with Adobe Analytics data structures and APIs, including data extraction and processing.
  • Advanced SQL skills with experience creating logic for data transformations, writing queries, and building data models.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Prior background in ecommerce analytics applications.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
