The Analytics Engineer is a crucial member of the data analytics organization at Prime Therapeutics, responsible for optimizing and monitoring the retrieval, storage, and distribution of large data sets. This role is essential in enabling data-driven business processes and delivering actionable business insights through various tools such as dashboards, reports, and self-service visualizations. The Analytics Engineer will work closely with business stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities for improved delivery and automation of business processes, ensuring that the underlying data resources are effectively utilized to support decision-making. In this position, the Analytics Engineer will develop, construct, test, and maintain data architecture, including extract, load, transform (ELT) processes, logical and physical data models, data marts, and metadata repositories. The role requires a strong understanding of relational and dimensional modeling to facilitate data wrangling and code operationalization. The Analytics Engineer will also be responsible for optimizing data retrieval processes and identifying ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality. Collaboration with team members is key to ensuring a seamless transition between databases and user-facing applications, and the role may involve other duties as assigned. The ideal candidate will have a background in computer science, applied mathematics, or engineering, along with experience in data analytics engineering, business intelligence, and data warehousing. A strong proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and ELT implementations is essential, as well as familiarity with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
