About the position

As a Sr. Analytics Engineer at Vivint, you will play a crucial role in developing the core service that provides data to the entire enterprise. This position involves building and maintaining data models that support operational and strategic data-driven decisions, particularly in collaboration with finance teams to ensure accurate performance KPIs and commission calculations for employees.

Responsibilities

• Help build and maintain an enterprise data warehouse platform with its associated data models and ETL processes
• Responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust data models
• Implement best practices and innovative solutions to provide timely, accurate, & reliable data
• Help in implementation of a high performing data warehouse platform servicing thousands of users and a broad set of use cases
• Build cross functional relationships with data analytic teams and business leaders to understand their requirements and data needs
• Constantly evaluate and optimize deployment of data models to achieve greater efficiency and reliability

Requirements

• 1-3 years of data modeling and data warehousing development experience (SSIS, dbt, Matillion, or similar)
• 1-3 years of professional experience writing SQL
• 1-3 years of experience with Git, code reviews, CI/CD environment
• BA/BS or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Math, other technical field, or relevant work experience

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with SSIS
• Experience with Snowflake or Redshift
• Knowledgeable in scripting languages (python, .net, R, etc)
