About the position

The Analytics Engineer at Colgate-Palmolive is responsible for developing digital infrastructure and data pipelines that support product innovation and development. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and structure data, build data products, and enhance the analytics capabilities of the organization. The position also includes mentoring team members and managing projects to improve business processes and generate new revenue streams.

Responsibilities

  • Use SQL and Python to write production-quality code for data transformation needs.
  • Support analytics platforms and data science workflows, identifying ways to strengthen and scale the data foundation.
  • Design and develop transparent ELT pipelines for timely and accurate data delivery.
  • Translate business requirements into well-documented data models for clarity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to identify data needs and opportunities for business solutions.
  • Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
  • Evaluate external partners for analytics initiatives.
  • Partner with IT to align on data architecture and analytics tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned and comply with all policies and standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Math or Computer Science.
  • 4+ years of Data Engineering experience.
  • High level of Python & SQL proficiency.
  • Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Strong familiarity with cloud computing platforms.
  • Strong familiarity with SAP S4/ECC tables.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven experience in Consumer Goods.
  • Active GitHub account with examples of past work.
  • Master's Degree or Professional Certification in Data Engineering or Cloud Computing Platform.
  • Proficiency with at least one other programming language in addition to Python.
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
  • Familiarity with Apache Airflow.
  • Familiarity with dbt.
  • Familiarity with Snowflake or Google Big Query.
  • Familiarity with data analytics workflows and tech stacks.
