About the position

As a Product Engineer in the Predictive Analytics group at KLA, you will play a crucial role in the new product introduction process for BroadBand Plasma products. This position involves close collaboration with engineering and service teams throughout all stages of product development, focusing on creating and supporting data-driven service methods and strategies. You will be engaged in design challenges pertinent to service, with a strong emphasis on enabling the next generation of data analytics systems. Your influence will be vital in ensuring that designers incorporate features that optimize KLA's predictive capabilities, capturing learning from current generation tools to apply to next generation designs. In this role, you will analyze data from multiple tools and sources, presenting conclusions and recommended actions effectively. You will also support the internal development and testing of new software features, working alongside service teams during the field rollout of these new features. This position requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, particularly in mechanical, electrical, physics, optical, or systems engineering, and familiarity with analytics tools such as Python, JMP, Power BI, and Snowflake. The ideal candidate will possess strong statistics and data analysis skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to a diverse audience. You will need excellent technical problem-solving skills and the capability to work both independently and collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams. Responsibilities

  • Work with the development team on design challenges pertinent to service with a strong focus on enabling the next generation of data analytics systems.
  • Influence designers and designs to include features that will optimize KLA predictive capabilities.
  • Ensure that learning on current generation tools is captured and applied to next generation designs.
  • Efficiently analyze data from multiple tools and other sources and present conclusions and recommended actions.

Requirements

  • Master's Level Degree in an engineering field and 0 years related work experience; Bachelor's Level Degree in engineering or other technical field and related work experience of 2 years.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools such as Python, JMP, Power BI, Snowflake or their equivalents.
  • Strong statistics and data analysis skills are a must have.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to a wide audience.
  • Excellent technical problem solving skills.
  • Able to work both independently and in collaboration with both technical and non-technical teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Preferred degree in Mechanical, electrical, physics, optical or systems engineering.
  • Familiarity with analytics tools.
