About the position

The Analytics Software Engineer will be part of the Industrial Systems Quality IT Team at Ford, focusing on developing, enhancing, and maintaining data integration workflows and quality launch applications. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders to deliver automation and visualization solutions that meet quality standards throughout the vehicle product development lifecycle. The position emphasizes the use of Alteryx, Qlik, and Google Cloud technologies to support data analytics and business intelligence solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain data integration workflows using Alteryx and other applications.
  • Lead design architectural discussions in Alteryx, Pega, Qlik, and Google Cloud Platform Technologies.
  • Collaborate with technical stakeholders for the implementation of large-scale data analytics and BI solutions.
  • Deliver automation and visualization consistent with Ford processes and standards.
  • Design, support, and develop QlikView and Qlik Sense-based reporting applications.
  • Analyze, design, and define new or re-engineered business processes for analytics solutions.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of Alteryx workflows, including development and maintenance.
  • Design, implement, and perform unit and integration testing, providing release management instructions.
  • Translate business requirements into structured systems design using appropriate methodologies.
  • Ensure quality data creation, presentation, and data flow across systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in data analytics, dashboard development with QlikView and Qlik Sense, and skilled in data analysis and modeling using Alteryx, SQL, and Hadoop.
  • 5+ years of experience in consuming data models, developing SQL, addressing data quality issues, and proposing BI solution architecture.
  • 2 years of hands-on experience with issue and problem-solving management systems (JIRA or Rally).

Nice-to-haves

  • Advanced Degree in Data Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related quantitative field.
  • Experience with BigQuery, Airflow, Dataflow, Data Lake, Cloud Run, DBT, and/or PubSub.
  • Prior experience with Alteryx, Data Fusion, CI/CD - Tekton, DataProc, Kafka, Hadoop, Hive.
  • DB Experience (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, etc.).
  • 2 years' experience with microservices architecture, Angular, RESTful APIs, Web Services, and/or containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
  • Experience working in a Product Driven Agile Organization.
