About the position

The Anaplan Solution Architect will play a critical role in leading the design and implementation of the Gross-to-Net (GtN) project within the pharmaceutical industry. This position requires a highly motivated individual with extensive experience in Anaplan functionalities and project leadership. The architect will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders, including finance, sales, and marketing, to develop a comprehensive Anaplan model that optimizes GtN processes and enhances pricing and rebate management. The architect will be responsible for managing the entire Anaplan development lifecycle, which includes requirement gathering, design workshops, testing, and deployment. A clear project timeline, scope, and resource allocation plan will be developed to ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders. The architect will also be tasked with documenting the Anaplan model design and functionalities for future reference, ensuring that the model remains aligned with business processes and regulatory changes. In addition to project leadership, the architect will leverage their expertise in Anaplan to design and build a robust model for GtN calculations, including contract management, pricing rules, rebate accruals, and chargebacks. They will configure workflows and automations to streamline GtN processes, improve data accuracy, and implement data validation rules to ensure data integrity. A strong understanding of pharmaceutical GtN concepts, such as pricing structures and managed markets, is essential for translating business requirements into technical specifications for the Anaplan model. The architect will also provide ongoing support and training to users on the Anaplan GtN model, maintaining and optimizing the model to reflect changes in business processes or regulations. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in Anaplan features and best practices for GtN modeling will be crucial for success in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of the GtN Anaplan model, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders (finance, sales, marketing).
  • Develop a clear project timeline, scope, and resource allocation plan.
  • Manage the Anaplan development lifecycle, including requirement gathering, design workshops, testing, and deployment.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration among all project stakeholders.
  • Design and build a comprehensive Anaplan model for GtN calculations, including contract management, pricing rules, rebate accruals, and chargebacks.
  • Configure workflows and automations to streamline GtN processes and improve data accuracy.
  • Leverage best practices for data modeling, security, and user access controls within Anaplan.
  • Implement data validation rules and error handling mechanisms to ensure data integrity.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of pharmaceutical GtN concepts, including pricing structures, rebates, chargebacks, and managed markets.
  • Work with finance and sales teams to translate GtN requirements into technical specifications for the Anaplan model.
  • Analyze current GtN processes and identify opportunities for improvement through Anaplan implementation.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to users on the Anaplan GtN model.
  • Maintain and optimize the GtN model to reflect changes in business processes or regulations.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Anaplan features and best practices for GtN modeling.
  • Document the Anaplan model design and functionalities for future reference.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in building and deploying complex Anaplan models.
  • Proficiency in Anaplan functionalities like formulas, calculations, data mapping, and user interface design.
  • Understanding of data integration techniques between Anaplan and other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM).
  • Experience with data governance practices and data quality principles.
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical GtN concepts, including pricing structures, rebates, chargebacks, and managed markets.
