The architect will lead the development and implementation of Anaplan models that enhance financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and operational processes. This role requires collaboration with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Anaplan solutions that align with organizational goals. In addition to model development, the Anaplan Solutions Architect will administer and maintain the Anaplan platform, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity. The role includes providing ongoing support and troubleshooting for Anaplan users, managing user roles and permissions, and conducting training sessions to educate end-users on Anaplan functionalities and best practices. The architect will also oversee the integration of data from various sources into the Anaplan platform, monitor data flows, and optimize performance by implementing best practices for model development. The position reports to the Manager of Technical Services and requires a commitment to professionalism, attention to detail, and a collaborative spirit. The Anaplan Solutions Architect will also be expected to stay updated with Anaplan updates and new features, incorporating them into existing models as appropriate. This role is essential in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing among Anaplan users, ultimately contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of Anaplan models to support financial and operational planning.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable Anaplan solutions.
  • Ensure alignment of Anaplan models with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Administer and maintain the Anaplan platform, ensuring optimal performance and data integrity.
  • Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for Anaplan users, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Manage user roles, permissions, and access within the Anaplan environment.
  • Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate end-users on Anaplan functionalities and best practices.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing among Anaplan users.
  • Oversee the integration of data from various sources into the Anaplan platform, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Monitor and optimize data flows to support efficient planning and reporting.
  • Monitor the performance of Anaplan models and identify opportunities for optimization and enhancement.
  • Implement best practices for model development, including modular design, efficient calculations, and version control.
  • Stay up to date with Anaplan updates and new features, incorporating them into the existing models as appropriate.
  • Attend to duties with professionalism, attention to detail, and cooperativeness with co-workers and supervisors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, Information technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Anaplan.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing complex Anaplan models in a large organization.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in finance, accounting, information technology or a related field.
  • Prior experience supporting healthcare or academic environments.
  • Anaplan certifications (Certified Model Builder, Solution Architect) are highly desirable.
