Part of Charter Communications, Spectrum News is made up of over 30 hyper-local news and regional sports networks dedicated to producing original, unbiased, and high-quality content. We use innovative journalistic approaches, backed by comprehensive research, to engage and inform viewers on the most essential news, issues, and events taking place in their communities. Beyond TV news distribution, our newsrooms publish via the Spectrum News app and connected television. From pitching stories to delivering engaging newscasts, your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of reporting and anchoring. You'll be part of a collaborative team that creates compelling, timely, accurate, character-driven content to connect with viewers across traditional and digital platforms. Responsibilities

  • Pitch stories and deliver engaging newscasts.
  • Connect with the local community to discover original stories.
  • Create compelling, timely, and accurate content across platforms.
  • Report and anchor news segments for television and digital news.
  • Manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of television news anchoring experience.
  • 5+ years of television news reporting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, Communications, or a related field; or comparable television work experience.
  • Technical skills in video editing and still photography.
  • Experience in social media marketing.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in a 24-hour news channel.
