KXTX Telemundo 39 is seeking a News Anchor/Multimedia Journalist (MMJ) who will be responsible for the on-air delivery of daily newscasts. The ideal candidate will not only present news but will also shoot, write, and edit news stories for various platforms, including broadcast, web, social media, and over-the-top (OTT) services. This role requires close collaboration with producers to ensure that stories are accurately written and effectively presented across all platforms. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver news in a professional manner, including breaking news during live broadcasts and on all news platforms. In addition to presenting newscasts, the News Anchor/MMJ will conduct research to write and present stories that engage viewers. They will be responsible for shooting, writing, and editing news stories for the station's newscasts, recorded programs, and other live broadcasts, whether in the studio or on location. The role also involves writing and producing stories, headlines, and news updates for broadcast and digital platforms, ensuring that all content is fair, accurate, and relevant to the community. The candidate will generate ideas and report breaking news, coordinate and conduct interviews, and actively share news content on social media platforms while adhering to NBC - Telemundo's social media policies and standards. The position requires the candidate to make appearances before social and civic groups, as well as at schools and colleges on behalf of the station. A strong knowledge of daily news events, particularly in the Northern Texas market, is essential. The candidate must be able to quickly adapt to late changes and be proactive in breaking news coverage. Additionally, the ability to produce stories in both Spanish for Telemundo and English for NBC 5 is crucial. Understanding the station's mission and priorities is also a key aspect of this role.
