About the position

The Ancillary Product Coordinator is responsible for securing prior authorization and coordinating care for dentures across multiple states. This role involves assisting patients, providers, and billing staff to ensure seamless delivery of services while maintaining compliance with insurance requirements and company policies.

Responsibilities

  • Secure payor sources or prior authorization in multiple states through various state, commercial and private insurances.
  • Consistently check eligibility for every resident and submit prior authorization when applicable.
  • Coordinate and prepare financial estimates, purchase orders, and invoices for patients and nursing homes.
  • Review benefits and educate patients or nursing home employees on insurance coverage.
  • Follow up in a timely manner on all prior authorizations to ensure no care gaps.
  • Maintain denture tracking in EMR systems.
  • Design, develop, update, and manage company user and system administration guides, videos, and ancillary training documentation.
  • Develop curriculum and materials to support new providers.
  • Responsible for post-op of all ancillary specialties, including claim creation.
  • Maintain data management and processing referrals in assigned territory for all ancillary specialties.
  • Actively support and comply with all components of the compliance program, including training and reporting of suspected violations.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all information; abide by HIPAA and PHI guidelines.
  • React positively to change and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (or GED) required, college degree or experience preferred.
  • Dental experience both front and back office preferred.
  • Electronic Medical Records experience required.
  • Critical thinking/Solution-based skills required for a time-sensitive environment.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Must be deadline driven and have a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite required.
