About the position

The Android App Developer role at Hexaware involves developing and maintaining native mobile applications for Android. The position requires a strong background in Android development, proficiency in programming languages such as Kotlin and Java, and experience with various mobile app design patterns. The developer will collaborate with designers and UX experts to create user-friendly applications and will be expected to work in an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications.
• Collaborate with designers and UX experts to enhance user experience.
• Build and maintain Android libraries using Gradle/Maven.
• Integrate RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party libraries into applications.
• Implement unit and Android tests to ensure application quality.
• Utilize version control systems like Git for code management.
• Participate in Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in native mobile app development.
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java programming languages.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with mobile app design patterns such as MVC, MVP, MVVM, and Clean Architecture.
• Working knowledge of unit and Android testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and JSON.
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and CI/CD practices.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of cross-platform frameworks like iOS, Flutter, and React Native.
• Experience in building Android Modules, SDKs, and Frameworks.
