About the position

The Android Developer position is a contract role based in Cincinnati, OH, requiring a hybrid work model with three days in the office. The role focuses on developing large-scale Android applications, utilizing modern technologies and best practices to enhance user experience and app performance. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features and ensure the app meets business needs and accessibility standards.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement app features
• Monitor and optimize app performance, addressing usability problems as they arise
• Ensure responsible design for device compatibility and accessibility
• Translate wireframes and mockups into reusable components and layouts
• Evaluate and scope solutions to address current and future business needs

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience developing large-scale Android applications
• Proven expertise with Kotlin and the Android SDK
• Experience with modern Android libraries, particularly Jetpack Compose
• Strong understanding of best practices for scalability, performance, accessibility, and security in mobile applications
• Familiarity with Android build, test, debug, and CI/CD tools for compiling, testing, packaging, and shipping large-scale Android applications
• Understanding of the entire mobile development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and releases
