About the position

The Android Developer Lead role involves managing a team of developers to deliver high-quality native Android applications. This position requires collaboration with designers and product teams, ensuring that the apps meet brand values and provide an excellent user experience. The lead will also be responsible for testing, bug fixing, performance optimization, and mentoring team members.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of developers and ensuring they are delivering quality features.
• Designing and building native Android apps for phones, tablets, IoT, and AR.
• Working with designers to turn design templates into apps, and with product teams to understand product features.
• Creating test cases and plans to ensure the quality of apps and SDKs.
• Identifying and fixing bugs in existing apps.
• Monitoring the performance of live apps and optimizing them.
• Ensuring that products meet brand values and maintain a high-quality user experience.
• Mentoring and providing feedback to teammates.

Requirements

• Proven experience in Android development with a strong portfolio of apps.
• Experience in leading and managing a team of developers.
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Java, and Kotlin.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers and product teams.
• Experience in testing methodologies and creating test cases.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with IoT and AR technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
