About the position

The Android Developer II position at Experian involves participating in the full application lifecycle, from concept to deployment, while collaborating with various teams. The role emphasizes writing clean code, following best practices, and communicating technical choices effectively. The developer will also have opportunities to investigate new technologies and contribute to the development of mobile applications using Android.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the full application lifecycle including concept, development, deployment, test, and release management.
• Write clean, correct code incorporating feedback from code reviews and enforce best practices.
• Evaluate assignments/requests, prioritize, and troubleshoot effectively.
• Accountable for achieving targets while considering longer-term goals.
• Communicate updates and resolutions, presenting and defending technical and architectural choices.
• Investigate and prototype new technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline/experience.
• 3+ years of experience in mobile application development.
• Background in implementing MVVM architecture in Android applications.
• Familiarity with third-party libraries such as RxJava, Dagger, and Retrofit.
• Experience consuming RESTful APIs with Android applications.
• Understanding of Android UX and collaboration with design teams to align UI designs with Android guidelines.
• Proficient in writing Kotlin code for new development, with experience in Java.
• Ability to create rich user interactions using Jetpack components like navigation and transitions.
