About the position

We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to join our team in New York City. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mobile development, particularly in Android, and will be responsible for designing and implementing applications that meet the needs of our clients in the banking domain. This role requires a solid understanding of Java and Kotlin, as well as experience with various architectural patterns and testing frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Implement MVVM architecture patterns in mobile applications.
• Utilize Retrofit for network operations and data handling.
• Conduct unit testing using JUnit and other testing frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain code quality standards.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in mobile development.
• 2+ years of experience in the banking domain.
• Strong understanding of Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Experience with MVVM architecture pattern.
• Familiarity with network libraries such as Retrofit.
• Unit testing experience using JUnit.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Mockito or Espresso for testing.
• Familiarity with Jetpack Compose for UI design.
• Knowledge of Jetpack Navigation components.
• Experience with RxJava and Coroutines.
