About the position

We are seeking experienced Mid-Level to Senior Android Developers to join our Retail Banking UI Engineering team. In this role, you will help develop a high-performance consumer-facing Android app, ensuring a seamless and secure experience for millions of retail banking customers. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and innovations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a secure, high-performance Android app serving millions of users.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to enhance the user experience.
• Write clean, maintainable code using Kotlin and Java, following best practices.
• Optimize app performance and responsiveness through performance tuning.
• Integrate backend services with RESTful APIs.
• Ensure compliance with security and privacy standards.
• Mentor junior developers and participate in code reviews.
• Stay current with Android development trends and apply new technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, Jetpack libraries, and Material Design.
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Familiarity with Git, Agile environments, and Android Studio.
• Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
• Experience writing Unit Tests and UI Tests.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Jetpack Compose and modern Android architecture patterns.
• Previous experience in the banking or financial services industry.
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and CI/CD pipelines.
