About the position

The Android Developer for Views will be responsible for developing and maintaining the Views library, which consists of UI components and systems designed to enhance product development for the client. This role focuses on creating user-friendly interfaces, collaborating with design and engineering teams, and ensuring accessibility and adaptability across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop UI Components for the Views library.
• Collaborate with Material Designers, Material UX, and other engineers to develop features.
• Create design documentation and API proposals to guide library usage.
• Work directly with Android app teams such as Maps, Drive, and Search.
• Write and release code that enhances user experiences across public and internal applications.
• Support teams through maintenance, migrations, and new feature development.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in Android development.
• Experience with Views libraries.
• Proven experience in building UI Components for Android applications.
• Experience in maintaining and releasing production Android applications.
• Ability to collaborate with PM, UX, PgM, and QA teams.
• Familiarity with Android assistive technologies and Localization/Internationalization.
