About the position

The Senior Android Developer will be responsible for developing high-quality mobile applications using Kotlin and Android SDK. This role involves collaborating with back-end developers to build RESTful APIs, ensuring optimal performance for UI and networking, and participating in Agile scrum meetings. The developer will produce reliable code, conduct code reviews, and facilitate issue resolution while adhering to best practices in software development.

Responsibilities

• Develop elegant and simple solutions utilizing technology including Kotlin, Android SDK, and Gradle.
• Ensure high-performing applications for UI and networking.
• Cooperate with back-end developers in building RESTful APIs.
• Communicate with external web services.
• Participate in Agile scrum meetings and complete assigned stories in a timely manner with quality.
• Produce high-quality and reliable code with strong quality metrics.
• Perform code walk-throughs effectively.
• Initiate and facilitate meetings and issue resolution involving the right individuals.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of increasingly responsible Android native app development experience using Java/Kotlin, with a FinTech background required.
• Proficiency with Kotlin for Android development.
• Deep understanding and experience using Android Architectural Components.
• Expert level knowledge in using Retrofit 2 for consuming REST APIs.
• Expert knowledge of Gradle as a build and dependency management system.
• Experience with UI implementation using constraint layout.
• Experience using asynchronous and event-based code with RxJava/Kotlin.
• Experience implementing the MVVM design pattern.
• Experience working with Git.
• Ability to write extensive unit tests.
• Experience creating configuration, build, and test scripts for Continuous Integration environments.
