About the position

The Android Developer will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing existing mobile applications, focusing primarily on five key Android apps. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of installs and ensuring smooth progression through production, while collaborating with stakeholders and overseeing project timelines.

Responsibilities

• Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and attending daily scrum meetings to assess their impact on applications.
• Overseeing project timelines, which can range from one week to six months for various requirements and implementations.
• Conducting thorough testing on mobile devices before passing applications to the QA team.
• Performing standard security scans in-house and coordinating with third-party vendors as needed.
• Addressing security findings and ensuring accessibility standards are met.
• Engaging in Java development while coordinating efforts with offshore iOS developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of development experience in Java and Android Java.
• Strong project management skills.
• Excellent communication abilities for interacting with business stakeholders and translating their requirements.
• Experience coordinating with offshore development teams.
• Familiarity with Agile best practices and tools like Rally.
