About the position

We are seeking a skilled Android Developer with expertise in Kotlin and React Architecture to join our team in Richmond, Virginia. This hybrid contract position focuses on mobile application development, requiring a solid understanding of Android fundamentals and a passion for delivering high-quality, user-centric applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks.
• Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and reusable code leveraging React Architecture and other Android best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and backend developers, to deliver a seamless mobile experience.
• Work with APIs and data sources, optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Participate in code reviews, ensuring high-quality and robust code.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends, tools, and technologies in mobile development.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Android app development with Kotlin.
• Familiarity with React-based architectures and patterns on Android.
• Proficient in Android SDK, including activity lifecycle, views, fragments, and more.
• Experience building intuitive and responsive UI with Material Design principles.
• Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs, JSON, and networking.
• Knowledge of RxJava, Coroutines, or other reactive frameworks.
• Experience with Git for code management and collaboration.
• Familiarity with unit testing, UI testing, and debugging tools for Android.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Jetpack Compose and MVVM architecture.
• Knowledge of Java and other Android-compatible programming languages.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
