About the position

The Android Developer position is a contract role focused on developing and maintaining Android applications using Kotlin. The role involves leading architectural decisions, mentoring team members, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of mobile applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development and experience with modern programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture and design of new and existing systems.
• Mentor and guide junior developers and team members.
• Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Ensure code quality through code reviews and adherence to coding standards.
• Optimize applications for performance and reliability.
• Implement automated testing and write testable code.
• Manage deployments to the Play Store.

Requirements

• Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team.
• Proven experience in professional software development (non-internship).
• Proficiency in programming with modern languages such as Java, C++, or C#.
• Strong experience in Android mobile application development using Kotlin and Java.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Experience with the full software development life cycle.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools like Git.
• Experience with Reactive programming frameworks.
• Experience writing automated tests and testable code.
• Familiarity with REST architecture for web services.
