About the position

We are seeking an experienced Mobile Native Developer (iOS/Android) to join our team for an exciting project with eBay. The role involves developing, enhancing, and maintaining high-performance mobile applications, collaborating with UI/UX designers, and integrating with backend services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in native mobile development and experience in eCommerce applications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain mobile applications using native technologies for iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java).
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive and visually appealing user interfaces.
• Work closely with backend teams to integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and web services.
• Optimize mobile apps for speed, responsiveness, and efficient resource usage.
• Participate in code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure comprehensive test coverage for app functionality.
• Identify and resolve performance issues, bugs, and other technical challenges on mobile platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features in a timely manner.
• Manage the release process, including uploading apps to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in iOS (Swift/Objective-C) and/or Android (Kotlin/Java) development.
• Solid understanding of mobile architectures, patterns (MVC, MVVM), and best practices.
• Experience in integrating mobile apps with RESTful APIs and third-party libraries.
• Strong knowledge of UI/UX principles for mobile, with the ability to implement responsive designs.
• Experience using Git for version control and CI/CD pipelines for automating mobile app builds and deployments.
• Understanding of mobile eCommerce applications, payment gateways, and transaction flows.
• Knowledge of App Store and Google Play Store submission processes.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks and tools for debugging and performance optimization.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

• Prior experience working with eCommerce platforms like eBay.
• Familiarity with mobile security practices, including OAuth, JWT, and secure data storage.
• Experience with push notifications, in-app purchases, and mobile analytics tools.
• Exposure to cross-platform mobile development frameworks like React Native or Flutter.
• Knowledge of GraphQL for efficient API management.
