About the position

The Android Developer position is a contract role focused on developing and maintaining Android applications for the State of New York. The role requires extensive experience in Android app development, Java programming, and working with various SDKs and APIs. The developer will work in an Agile environment and may have the opportunity for remote work a few days a week.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications for the State of New York.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Work with third-party SDKs, libraries, and APIs to enhance app functionality.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to team meetings.

Requirements

• 60 months of experience in Android Apps Development.
• 60 months of experience in Java programming language.
• 12 months of experience in third-party SDKs, libraries, and APIs.
• 36 months of experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
• 12 months of experience in React Native mobile app development.
• 36 months of experience in Agile projects.
