About the position

The Lead Android Developer will be a key member of the Digital Engineering team, responsible for leading the development of mobile applications using Kotlin and Java. This role requires extensive experience in Android development, particularly with Jetpack Compose, and a strong understanding of Android SDK and UI design principles. The ideal candidate will contribute to the modernization of digital experiences for Fortune 500 clients, leveraging their technical expertise to deliver high-quality mobile solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of Android applications using Kotlin and Java.
• Design and implement user interfaces using Jetpack Compose.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks.
• Maintain code quality and organization through best practices and code reviews.
• Participate in the full application lifecycle, from concept to deployment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Android Kotlin/Java development.
• 2+ years of experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK and different versions of Android.
• Experience with RxJava development.
• Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket and JIRA/Atlassian tools.
• Working knowledge of CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins.
• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with MVVM architecture.
• Knowledge of Android UI design principles and best practices.
