About the position

The Android Developer will be responsible for writing code, creating API specifications, conducting code reviews, and testing within ongoing sprints. This role may involve working on a specific platform or product permanently or being part of a dynamic resource pool assigned to various projects. The developer will focus on continuous improvement and innovation in mobile technology.

Responsibilities

• Write code and create API specifications for Android applications.
• Conduct code reviews and testing during ongoing sprints.
• Participate in proof of concepts and automation tools development.
• Identify opportunities to adopt innovative technologies.
• Look for continuous improvement opportunities in mobile development.

Requirements

• BS degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Solid foundation with the Android platform and development tools.
• Experience with Agile or other rapid application development methods.
• Ability to deal with ambiguous or under-defined problems and think abstractly.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn new technologies and develop working software quickly.
• Hands-on experience with mobile application design, software development, and testing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with a variety of software languages.
• Understanding of XML, JSON, and Web Services technologies.
• Experience with payments technology.
