About the position

The Android Developer will be a key member of the Digital Engineering team at Photon, responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced Android applications. This role requires a strong background in Android development, with a focus on delivering high-quality applications that meet user experience expectations and performance benchmarks. The developer will also lead a team, providing mentorship and technical guidance while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Android developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy advanced Android applications.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to Android development.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Android development.
• Optimize applications for performance, security, and scalability.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Android developer with a track record of delivering successful Android applications.
• Strong expertise in Java and Kotlin programming languages.
• Extensive knowledge of the Android SDK and different Android versions.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integration of external APIs.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration, and deployment.
