About the position

As an Android Engineer on the Peloton Product Engineering team, you will be responsible for building and enhancing Android applications that deliver exceptional fitness experiences to our members. This role involves developing customer-facing features in Kotlin for applications such as the Google Play Store mobile app and the flagship Peloton experience on our Bikes and Treads. You will also play a key role in improving processes and mentoring fellow engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Android applications for Peloton's products.
• Iterate on processes, technology, and communication within the team.
• Assist and mentor other engineers in their development.
• Translate Product, UX, UI, and analytics requirements into code implementations.
• Profile UI, memory, and threading in Android applications.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience.
• 2+ years of Android development experience, including working knowledge of Kotlin.
• Experience with Git and solid interaction with REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of architecture patterns, specifically MVI and MVVM.
• Experience with profiling UI, memory, and threading in Android.
• Ability to independently accomplish complex engineering tasks.
• Previously published applications on the Google Play Store.
• Experience with unit testing and Agile environments.
• B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
