About the position

As an Android/Linux Developer at OxeFit, you will be responsible for developing custom embedded applications that support the company's advanced strength training system. This role involves working with both Android and Linux-based systems to create high-quality software that enhances the functionality of OxeFit's platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and ensure adherence to coding standards while contributing to a culture of innovation and personal growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality, robust systems software using Android open-source and Linux-based systems.
• Write test cases for system software that may require mocked hardware or peripheral components for use in CI/CD environments.
• Integrate Android and Linux-based platforms to achieve seamless functionality and interoperability.
• Interface regularly with embedded/firmware engineers and cloud developers for cross-functional coordination.
• Participate in code reviews to provide feedback and ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related fields.
• 5+ years of experience writing production-quality software in languages such as C, C++, etc.
• Experience writing production level and reliable code targeting Android or Linux distributions in a professional capacity.
• Knowledge of Linux system programming, distributions, and system libraries.
• Experience building processes and modifying user interfaces in Android core open-source (OS).
• Experience with Android custom update mechanisms for OS and applications.
