About the position

The position is for a seasoned Android Mobile Applications developer to join a team focused on designing, developing, and supporting a new native Android Mobile App for a major US sports enterprise. The role is fully remote but requires commitment to East Coast business hours. The consultant will work on a W2 basis and will be part of a team that emphasizes collaboration and innovation in mobile app development.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop a new native Android Mobile App.
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for the mobile application.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality app performance and user experience.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Android development.

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of Android mobile app development experience.
• Current, hands-on expertise with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose.
• Experience with mobile SDK development.
• Proven track record of developing multiple commercial Android Apps that have been successfully released.
• Any hands-on experience with iOS / Swift development is a major plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services.
