Amtelco is seeking an Android Mobile Applications Developer to join our Software department, specifically for our Secure Texting Application. This full-time position is based at our corporate headquarters in McFarland, WI, and reports to the Secure Texting Product Manager and Team Lead Application Developer. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams to develop functional mobile applications, focusing on creating user-friendly experiences. You will work independently and as part of the Mobile Applications Development Team to develop and maintain Android versions of Amtelco's communications applications. Your responsibilities will include supporting the entire application lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, publishing, and support. You will produce fully functional applications by writing clean code, gathering specific requirements, and suggesting solutions. Additionally, you will perform unit and UI tests to identify malfunctions and participate in code reviews with team members and senior software engineers. We are looking for someone who is passionate about mobile platforms and has a strong understanding of UI and UX principles. You will be expected to stay up to date with new technology trends and work closely with the Product Development Team to plan new features. Your role will also involve assisting the Field Engineering Team in troubleshooting customer-reported issues, ensuring that both new and legacy applications meet quality standards.
