About the position

The Android Mobile Developer at LTIMindtree is responsible for developing and maintaining native Android applications. This role requires expertise in Android development using Java and Kotlin, as well as familiarity with Android Jetpack libraries. The developer will work in an agile environment, collaborating with clients and team members to deliver high-quality software solutions. The position emphasizes strong debugging skills, understanding of design patterns, and the ability to perform low-level design for modules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native Android applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Utilize Android Jetpack libraries for application development.
• Implement Test-Driven Development (TDD) using Junit, Mockito, Espresso, Dagger, and Appium.
• Work in an enterprise project environment following agile scrum methodology.
• Regularly interact with clients to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Collaborate with team members and work independently as needed.
• Debug and resolve issues in applications using tools like Instruments.
• Design and implement software solutions following Android Human Interface Guidelines.
• Create low-level designs for application modules.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of RDBMS and design patterns.

Requirements

• Expertise in native Android Mobile Development.
• Proficiency in Android Java and Kotlin.
• Good understanding of Android Frameworks.
• Experience with TDD using Junit, Mockito, Espresso, Dagger, and Appium.
• Familiarity with J2EE and Web Services is a plus.
• Experience working in an agile scrum environment.
• Strong debugging skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of Design Patterns and UML diagrams.
